Proverbs 25:11 says, “A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.” Words appropriately spoken and advice aptly given can encourage, help, and instruct. In Titus 2 older women are admonished not only to live a godly life, but to teach and train younger women. These two passages form the basis of Second Helping, which seeks to encourage the hearts of women, to help us draw close to Christ in our relationships with our family and friends, and to serve others with a joyful spirit. The ministry is held in different homes each month.
