Patsy and her husband, Shannon, lead the worship ministry together: Patsy on the planning side, and Shannon on the band-leading side. Patsy plays keyboards and Shannon leads on the guitar.
Both Patsy and Shannon grew up in Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. When not preparing worship services, the Tuckers work together in their software consulting business. When not doing ministry or work, they are cheering on their youngest daughter, Sallie, in Buena Vista sports. Patsy and Shannon have two other daughters, Laura and Ellen, who are grown.
Patsy’s desire in planning the weekly worship service is to follow Jesus' teaching found in John 4:24: "God is spirit and truth, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." The purpose of the Worship Band is to lead the congregation to praise and honor the Lord based on the truth of His character and celebrate His work in our lives.
Zina Workman, Children’s Director
Zina and her husband moved to the Twin Lakes area 21 years ago to enjoy the beauty and wonder of the Colorado Rockies. She has three beautiful daughters, Carleigh, Breanna, Kaitlynn. The Workman family joined the Valley Fellowship family in 2008 and have truly enjoyed the fellowship, their small group, and the warmth they have received at Valley Fellowship Church. Zina loves being a part of the staff at Valley Fellowship, especially the opportunity to be a part of bringing Christ Jesus to our little ones.
Teri Burton, Nursery Coordinator
Teri took over the nursery in March of 2010. She works with children (babies to 4 years) as well as administrates a staff of around 30 volunteers. Teri's goal for the nursery is to create a comfortable and fun environment for infants, toddlers and preschoolers while their parents are participating in other church activities. She also wants these kids to learn that Jesus is their friend, preparing their hearts for what they will learn as they advance to the children’s ministry.
Linda Lewis, Kitchen Coordinator
Linda, a Colorado native, joined the staff at Valley Fellowship in 2007. Linda graduated from the University of Colorado School of Nursing in 1968. She and her husband, Gene, started a plumbing company in Denver some 20 years later and worked at this business for 20 years. They retired in '06 and moved to Buena Vista. Shortly after this the Lewis's were invited to a worship service at Valley Fellowship, and within a year both Linda and Gene became Christians. Linda is Grandmother to 3, loves to make quilts, does machine embroidery, and together the Lewis's enjoy traveling the country in their RV. Linda's responsibilities in the kitchen at Valley Fellowship include the preparation and serving of the monthly Family Fellowship Meal and other special events that may come up during the year. This position allows her to use her gifts and abilities to serve Valley Fellowship and the community. Linda's goal is to create fellowships that will welcome everyone, both members and new people. "I hope to share the love with others that we were given when we were new here."
